I got a little crazy with learning while staying at home with our first child. Got my Montessori Teacher Sertification and CPR, and got pregnant with the second one. So, everything changed from learning to enjoying myself… from exercise books to literature! Ohm….
Reading is awesome! If you don’t agree with me, you probably haven’t found your perfect book yet.
I have to admit, good books make me a little crazy. If something like that comes along I live in the story. I do my house chores on auto-pilot, thinking about what happened in the book. I drive my kids to the swimming pool, wondering what is going to happen to the characters. I make dinner, excited that the night is almost here, and I’m about to open the next chapter.
The books make me dream. How many times did I read Jack London’s “The Little Lady of the Big House”? How many times did I dream of building MY house of dreams? (well, not BIG necessarily – we have to be honest here, I cannot make money writing this blog with my heavy Russian accent…)
How many times did I dream to be a perfect little mother like Anne of Green Gables… oh, and look what happened!
I read pretty much everything though prefer fairy tales. My last year reading resolution was to read at least one “adult” book in-between Harry Potters (yes yes, tell me you are not a Harry Potter addict!). I’m always thinking about insanely cool books I’m about to discover, and I’m happy to be able to share my reads with you!
